Firearms and Ammunition Training Course
Need a firearms permit?
Nothing could be simpler—sign up for the course provided by us. The course lasts 80 hours / 2 weeks.
Participation in weapons and ammunition courses is conducted in accordance with Law no. 295/2004 regarding the regime of weapons and ammunition and Government Decision no. 11 of January 17, 2018, approving the methodological norms for the application of Law no. 295/2004 on the regime of weapons and ammunition.
Who is the Weapons and Ammunition Course for?
- Members of hunting associations for the purpose of obtaining a hunting permit;
- Weapons collectors;
- Individuals who wish to obtain a purchase authorization for a firearm intended for defense and security purposes (dignitaries, magistrates, diplomats, military personnel, and police officers, during active service as well as after retirement, transfer to reserve, or withdrawal from service);
- Persons provided for by law who hold a position involving the exercise of public authority, for the period during which they hold such status;
- Gunsmiths, authorized intermediaries, as well as weapons and ammunition custodians within legal entities that carry out operations involving weapons and ammunition;
- Individuals who are to be equipped by their employer with service weapons (lethal / non-lethal);
- Individuals who own non-lethal weapons subject to authorization.
Required Documents for Enrollment
- Identity card or passport;
- Birth certificate;
- Medical certificate for the possession and use of weapons and ammunition, issued no more than 6 months prior to submitting the application;
- Psychological certificate for the possession and use of weapons and ammunition, issued no more than 6 months prior to submitting the application;
- Criminal record certificate issued for the weapons and ammunition course.

At the end of the course, an exam will be held, consisting of a theoretical test and a practical test.
Upon passing the exam, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion for the Weapons and Ammunition Course. Subsequently, the Police Inspectorate will issue a firearm permit, for lethal or non-lethal weapons.
